About Clear Budget
Built from a real problem.
I'm Tanguy Lepage, a professional figure skater. For more than 15 years, I've worked in shows and contracts around the world — touring on land with Disney on Ice, performing aboard Royal Caribbean cruise ships, and taking individual gigs.
My work has never fit neatly into a traditional monthly salary.
I've had contracts lasting anywhere from one day to ten months. I've been paid for a single day, weekly, biweekly, and across longer contracts.
And that created a surprisingly difficult question:
“How much money am I actually earning — and how much can I expect to have left over during a specific period?”
Most budgeting tools I found didn't really match the way I was paid.
I needed to account for different payment frequencies, exact contract dates, income and expenses occurring at different times, and eventually different currencies.
So I built my own spreadsheet.
It wasn't originally a business. It was simply a tool I needed to understand my own finances.

Over time, that spreadsheet became more sophisticated.
With the help of AI, I was eventually able to turn the budgeting system I'd built for myself into Clear Budget.
