Public Calculator (No Account)

You can use the public Calculator for free without creating an account. A guest can calculate income, expenses, the difference or what’s left, goals, savings, investments, different frequencies, different currencies, custom budget periods and mathematical projections.

Entries made in the public Calculator are temporary. They are held in your browser memory for the current session and are not permanently saved to a Clear Budget account. They are not associated with a user account and are not synced across devices.

Public Calculator data is kept separate from authenticated Workspace budget data.

Account Information

If you create a free account, Clear Budget collects and stores the email address you use to sign up, which is used for authentication and account communication.

You may optionally provide a display name and a profile picture. These are optional and used only to personalize your account.

Authentication-related information, such as sign-in credentials managed by the authentication system, is used to verify your identity and keep your account secure. Clear Budget does not ask you to connect a bank account.

Saved Workspace Budget Information

When you sign in and use the personal Workspace, the budget you build is automatically saved to your account. This may include information you enter such as income entries, expense entries, goals, savings, investments, amounts, frequencies, notes or descriptions, currencies, budget preferences and projection settings.

This information is stored so you can return to your budget across sessions and devices. It is associated with your account and is separate from any temporary public Calculator entries.

Why Information Is Processed

Account information is processed to provide and secure your account. Saved Workspace budget information is processed to automatically save, restore and display your budget. Analytics and similar information are processed to understand how the website is used and to improve it. Where advertising is shown, related information may be processed to deliver and measure ads.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Clear Budget may use cookies, local storage and similar technologies to provide website functionality and remember certain preferences, such as your selected language and theme.

Third-party services may also use cookies or similar technologies for purposes such as analytics and advertising. Where required, these cookies are only loaded after you provide consent through the consent management platform described below.

Analytics

Clear Budget uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the website and to improve the user experience.

Saved Workspace budget information is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your saved budget and account information are removed as described below.

Data Security

Reasonable measures are taken to maintain the security and integrity of Clear Budget and the information it stores.

However, no website or internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

You may access, correct or update your account information and saved Workspace budget through the website. You can change your display name, profile picture, language, theme and budget currency in your account settings.

Account and Data Deletion

You can delete your account from your account settings. Deleting your account removes your saved Workspace budget and account information from Clear Budget.

You can also reset temporary public Calculator entries at any time using the tools available on the website.

Children's Privacy

Clear Budget is a general-purpose budgeting utility and is not specifically directed toward children.
