Switch the Budget Period toggle to “Custom” and enter your duration in any mix of years, months, weeks and days — decimals are allowed. Clear Budget converts every income, expense and savings line to a precise yearly basis using its real frequency, then scales it to your custom period. A “Total budget for [period]” panel shows the totals and remaining balance for that exact duration, alongside the usual Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Annual views.

What custom periods can I budget over?

Any combination of years, months, weeks and days — including decimals. That covers 17 days, 6 weeks, 4 months, 10.5 months, 1 year and 3 months, or any other duration you need. Clear Budget converts every income, expense and savings line to that exact period.

Does the custom period replace the monthly view?

No. The Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Annual views always stay available. The Custom Budget Period adds an extra set of results for your chosen duration, plus a “Total budget for [period]” panel — so you can see both the standard periods and your custom one side by side.

How are amounts converted to the custom period?

Each line is first converted to a precise yearly basis using its real frequency, then scaled to your custom period. Clear Budget uses an exact annual basis (a year equals 365.2425 days) so the custom total stays consistent with the daily, weekly, monthly and annual figures.

Is the custom period good for short-term goals?
