A free daily budget calculator — see how much you can really spend each day

Daily Budget Calculator

A daily budget calculator turns income and expenses that arrive on all sorts of schedules — a monthly salary, a weekly grocery run, an annual insurance bill — into one simple daily number. Seeing your money as a daily amount makes your real spending capacity obvious: how much you can spend today without falling behind this week, this month or this year.

01— The basics

Why look at your budget as a daily amount?

Most income and expenses do not happen daily. You get paid weekly, biweekly or monthly. Rent is due monthly. Insurance might be paid once a year. That makes it hard to feel how much a single day of spending is really worth. A daily budget calculator fixes this by converting every line — whatever its frequency — into its daily equivalent, so your whole financial life shrinks down to one understandable number per day.

Once you know your daily spending capacity, small decisions get easier. A $6 coffee is no longer an abstract monthly cost — it is a clear slice of what you can spend today. If your daily capacity is $40 and you have already spent $35 by lunch, you know there is only $5 left without dipping into tomorrow.

02— The conversion

How weekly, monthly and annual amounts become daily

To build a daily view, every income and expense is first converted to a common yearly basis, then divided across the days of the year. Clear Budget uses a precise annual basis (a year equals 365.2425 days) so the daily figure stays consistent with the weekly, monthly and annual views shown alongside it.

Weekly → Daily

A weekly amount is split across 7 days — a weekly 70 becomes about 10 per day.

Monthly → Daily

A monthly amount is spread across the year — a monthly 1,500 becomes about 49 per day.

Annual → Daily

An annual amount is divided by 365 — an annual 1,200 becomes about 3.30 per day.

Biweekly → Daily

A biweekly paycheck is smoothed out — a biweekly 2,000 becomes about 143 per day.

Enter each income, expense and savings item the way it actually occurs, and Clear Budget shows the daily equivalent next to the weekly, monthly and annual figures — so the daily view never drifts apart from the bigger picture. You can read more about the weekly and monthly views on the Weekly Budget Calculator and Monthly Budget Calculator pages.

03— A simple example

A daily budget example

Take a household with a monthly take-home salary of $3,000, monthly rent of $1,200, weekly groceries of $140 and a monthly savings transfer of $200. None of those arrive daily, but each can be converted into a daily figure.

Daily income

Daily expenses

Daily savings

Free to spend

With about $28 a day left over after fixed costs and planned savings, the household can see at a glance how much daily discretionary spending fits the budget — and whether a $6 coffee or a $20 lunch sits comfortably inside it.
